In the fourth quarter of 2023, the unified platform data from Sensor Tower provided insights into the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Hungary. Here's a closer look at the trends for the top five apps:

Bolt: Request a Ride, developed by BOLT TECHNOLOGY OU, experienced fluctuating download numbers throughout the quarter. Downloads started at around 4K in late September, dipped slightly in October, and peaked at 5.7K in the final week of December. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 35K to 40K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 40K.

Uber - Request a ride from Uber Technologies, Inc. showed consistent download activity, maintaining a range of 1.1K to 1.5K downloads per week. The app's weekly active users saw a steady climb, starting at approximately 49.6K and ending the quarter at 52.1K, indicating a strong and consistent user base.

Careem – rides, food & more, published by Careem, had modest download numbers, varying between 150 and 466 per week. Despite these lower download figures, the app's weekly active users showed an upward trend, growing from around 447 to 696 by the end of December.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus by Comuto had a relatively steady performance in terms of downloads, with weekly figures ranging from 229 to 308. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but generally stayed between 1.5K and 1.7K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, also from Uber Technologies, Inc., saw a varied download pattern, starting at around 192 in late September and ending at 201 in the last week of December. The app’s weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 776 to 778 over the quarter.
